Error during Install

I wasn't sure where to place this question. If it can't be answered here and
someone can suggest a better place to post it, please do?
I have a user trying to install an in house created application that
requires sql and some other components. But i believe my issure here is the
sql from what i see in the log. Im tech support here in my company and trying
to resolve this issue. The prgrammer of the app can't figure out themselve
what maybe causing the issue. It installs on other computers. I original
error message is below.
An error occurred while installing system components for application name.
Setup cannot continue untill all system components have been successfully
installed.
